My Review
This is the second book in The Carrera Cartel Series, a dark mafia romance. I love this Series! Leighton/Star and Mateo's second chance to love is captivating. Mateo is alpha, dark, and secretive. I loved him! Leighton, Brody's sister, is strong and determined. They share a sizzling chemistry. I loved to see again the characters from the first book. The cast of supporting characters is impressive. The storyline is suspenseful, and fast-paced, filled with danger, intrigue, lies, and twists and turns. The world building is enthralling. Aaron Shedlock and Sarah Puckett did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Brody's story in Drawn Blue Lines, the next book in the Series. I HIGHLY recommend this Series.
