Blurb:

A dangerous serum. A deadly enemy. A suffocating secret.

I didn’t know it was possible to be in love with two people at the same time, until my past and present collided.

Jensen was unpredictable and compelling, until he shattered my heart when he was deployed.

Trent is loving and dependable, and I can easily envision a future in his arms.

I had no way to know the two were brothers. I fear I will be what tears them apart.

When Trent is deployed to Afghanistan to test a highly classified serum, I can’t shake the feeling of dread. My fears are quickly justified. An unknown enemy knows my dark secret, and plans to use it against us.

I made a mistake once, and now it could destroy everyone I love.

My Review:

Wow! I loved it!

The story is original, and captivating! Skyla, Trent and Jensen are fantastic characters. The storyline is suspenseful, and twisted. Impossible to put it down.

Aaron Shedlock, Jason Clarke and Kylie Stewart did a fantastic job with the narration. If you like Romantic Suspense, this book is for you! I need more!!

I’m the genius behind the keyboard, the man at my brothers’ backs when trouble comes calling. Killing might not have been my nature, but I learned to do what I had to, to survive. To keep them alive.

Now, with everything going right, with my family finally happy, a new threat has risen. A shadow. A menace that could take it all away in a single breath.

And not just from my family. From hers.

Nix.

One glance and I knew I’d walk through fire to make her see me, make her mine. Too bad she’s not willing to see inside of me.

In a world where might makes right, we’re on different sides of the spectrum, but in this game of cat and mouse, it will take both of us to make it out alive.

My Review:

This is the fourth book in the Assassins Series, an amazing Romantic Suspense! I love this Series! For a better understanding, I recommend you to read the prequel, and the three first books in the Series before this one. You won't regret it! After Levi and Remi's stories, we finally get Eli's story. Nix and Eli's story is suspenseful, action packed, fast paced, sexy, intriguing, and filled with twists and turns. They are both smart, and strong characters. The storyline is well written, and captivating. The brotherhood between the three Agozi brothers is wonderful. The story has multiple POV, which is great! Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter did an outstanding job with the narration. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend this Series!

She’s my employee. I’m her boss’ boss. Hell, I own the company.
Pursuing Lillian Burkette was a line I shouldn’t cross. Until a work trip from hell changed everything.
I didn’t just step over the line. I annihilated the damn thing. When it comes to her, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do. I’d even kill for her.
When they say the corporate world is a jungle...they have no idea.

My Review
This was my first Brynne Asher's book, and won't be my last. Gabriel (Gab) and Lillian's story is an amazing Romantic Suspense. Lillian is smart, strong, and independent. Gab is handsome, alpha, bossy, and protective. They share a sizzling chemistry. This short story is entertaining, fast-paced, and filled with action, and adventure. Virginia Rose and Aaron Shedlock are on my list of favorite narrators. They did an outstanding job with the narration, and I love their voices together. This is a great team author/narrator. I highly recommend it. Looking forward for more books written by this author. #NetGalley #ALC #BrynneAsher #SpectrumAudiobook

ALC Review: They the Pretty Stars By Eden O'Neill

Advanced Listening Copy Review! #ALC

They the Pretty Stars
Court High #1
By Eden O'Neill
Narrated by Kasi Hollowell
Produced by Pink Flamingo Productions

Blurb:
In Maywood Heights, stars burn bright. They fall even harder.
They call them the Court, an elite boys club who rule Windsor Preparatory Academy like gods among men. And, of course, they're led by Hercules himself.
Royal Prinze--yes, that's actually his name--walks around both the school and the town like he owns them. His affiliation to the prestigious Court only gives him more clout. These boys do anything they want. They take anything they want, and they f*ck anything they want... in that order.
Then there's me.
I came to Maywood Heights to live with my virtually indifferent father because my sister went AWOL. She chose to stay with him after our parents' divorce when we were kids, and I haven't seen or heard from her since summer began. The last thing I imagined when enrolling at her school was that she'd be connected to a group like the Court, and boys like Royal. She's nothing like them and so much better than Royal and his elitist attitude...
So, why then are they saying he's her best friend?
Warning: This enemies-to-lovers, high school romance contains some dark themes and light bullying. The book is not a standalone and is book one in a four-part series of full-length novels. Royal Prinze is the only hero of this tale... good luck getting him to share.

My Review:

This was my first Eden O'Neill's book, and definitely won't be my last. They The Pretty Stars is the first book in a four-part series of the Court High Series, an amazingly dark romance, enemies-to-lovers, and light bullying romance. This story is intriguing and intricate. The characters are fantastic, well developed and complex. December (Em) is a wonderful strong young woman, determined, and smart. Royal is dark, secretive, and intriguing. The supporting characters are great and intriguing. The storyline has twists and turns, mystery, secrets, and intrigue. The world building is well done, and absolutely captivating. The story ends with a big cliffhanger, and I need the second book in the Series now! Kasi Hollowell did an outstanding job with the narration. She has the perfect voice for this High School/New Adult Romance. The audio quality is perfect. I can't wait to listen to Illusions that May, to know what happens next.
